    Journal of Surface Engineering and Coating Technology The Journal of Surface Engineering and Coating Technology is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of the scholarly record. The journal ensures that all published content remains reliable and up to date.
    If minor errors are identified in a published article that do not affect the overall results or conclusions, the journal will publish a correction (erratum). The correction will be clearly linked to the original article, which will remain accessible.
    In cases where a published article contains serious errors, ethical violations, or unreliable findings (including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication, or major methodological issues), the article may be retracted. A retraction notice will be published and linked to the original article. The original article will remain available and will be clearly marked as retracted.
    When necessary, the journal may issue updates or revised versions of articles. Any changes will be clearly described, and the version history will be maintained where applicable.
    The journal applies the Crossmark service provided by Crossref to inform readers about the current status of articles and to ensure transparency regarding any updates, corrections, or retractions.
    All updates, corrections, and retractions will be clearly indicated and linked to the original publication. Readers are encouraged to verify the current status of articles using the Crossmark functionality where available.
